A FANTASTIC night of performances celebrating Youth Music Week and the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was presented by More Music.
The inspirational and varied night of music took place at the organisation's new Devonshire Hall venue above The Hothouse.
Around 150 people enjoyed performances by people of all ages who participate in More Music's sessions and groups.
The first part of the evening was devoted to original music performed by young people from More Music's Stages project, primary schools and Dhamak bhangra band.
There was a huge mix of styles from folky guitar pop to rap performed by young lads from More Music's Friday Night Project.
Singer/songwriter, Nancy Kent, was a particular favourite on the night with her soft, husky voice and intelligent lyrics.
More Music's artistic director, Pete Moser, said: "It was a really good way of celebrating Youth Music Week. It had quite a political focus and the performers were singing about things that really mean something to young people. It made for a powerful evening of music."
In the second half of the evening people of all ages performed 'Start Again', a piece originally written to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
"The songs from Start Again really stood the test of time," said Pete. "We were joined by the famous gospel singer, Tyndale Thomas, who was very inspirational.
"The choir was made up of members of The Hothouse Singers, Dot Crotchet and the Raging Harmonies and children from other groups - about 30 singers in total.
"For the final song Tyndale got members of the audience to join the choir on stage and the choir became 50 people strong.
"We're on a steady pathway of developing gigs at our new venue. There was a really good response from the audience."
The next More Music gig at the Devonshire Hall above The Hothouse in the West End will take place on November 25 and is called 'Voices'. It will feature Sue Parish and her jazz band, Steve Lewis and Deep Cabaret, Dot Crotchet and the Raging Harmonies as well as a mystery guest.
