A MORECAMBE company is behind what has become one of the most talked about water effects on the London stage for some time.
The Young Vic's current production, 'In the Red and Brown Water,' features a vast pool which floods the entire stage. To create this visual masterpiece, Chris Clay, head of production at the Young Vic worked with water experts 'Water Sculptures', based at the White Lund industrial estate.

Current shows that are dazzling audiences with the help of Water Sculptures' expertise in water design and installations include the world premiere touring production of 'Flashdance' (water showers down onto the stage as seen in one of the most iconic scenes of the original 1983 film) and also 'Singin' in the Rain' at the Oslo Nye Theatre in Norway.

You can see video footage of some of Water Sculptures' theatre sets via You Tube at the following link:

Other high-profile stage events featuring fabulous water displays created by Water Sculptures have included: 'Madam Butterfly' at the Royal Albert Hall; 'Carmen' at Royal Opera House Covent Garden; Take That's 'Ultimate' tour; and a set for the hugely-successful TV sitcom 'Absolutely Fabulous'.
