WEMBLEY goal hero Danny Carlton has rejoined the Shrimps on a one-month loan deal.
Carlton, who has made 13 appearances and scored three goals for Carlisle United this season, made over 200 appearances at Christie Park first time round and scored the goal that took them in to the Football League with a 2-1 Conference play-final victory over Exeter City.
Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy said: "I am delighted to have Danny back at Christie Park.
"We need cover up front at the moment because of our injury problems and Danny fits the bill perfectly.
"He knows the lads and will fit into our style of play almost immediately and he will also give the supporters a real lift too.
"I have been looking at bringing him back for a while and I am glad a deal has now been agreed."
Carlisle caretaker manager Greg Abbott said: "I've discussed the move with Danny, and I have told him that I want him to get some games.
"We both agreed that he would be around our first team, but that the initial period would see him used more as a substitute.
"I felt, in those circumstances, that it was more important for him to go and get some first team football with Morecambe.
"Obviously we have players coming back from injury, and Gary Madine got his goal on Saturday, so he is pushing for a starting place as well.
"At the moment we just feel that it's better for Danny to go out for this loan and get some games under his belt."
